I want to play cricket world cup 2015: Younis Khan

LAHORE: Pakistan’s former captain Younis Khan has shown interest in playing next year’s World Cup here on Tuesday.
Khan believes that he deserves a place in the ODI squad as he has been playing cricket for more than a decade. And he wishes to retire before he is forcefully sidelined.
While talking to reporters on Tuesday, he said the decision to retire from cricket always depends on player’s game and time.
‘Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to India will help in restoration of cricket series between the two countries,’ thinks Khan.
He further informed that he is working fully in training camp in Lahore and his fitness is excellent. And Khan also told that he always tries to become a role model for junior players in training sessions.
As for the series against Sri Lanka, he shared that the competition will be very interesting and it will be the best opportunity for young athletes to prove their skills.
Selectors have been ignoring thirty-six-year-old Khan since 2013 and that is why he has missed thirty-two matches including Asia Cup, Champions Trophy and the ODI series against South Africa until now.
